At the Carteret Public Library we offer the following for our youngest readers:

Books - From Board Books for emerging readers to extensive collections of fiction, non-fiction, research and refence books for students from Pre-K through 12th grade.

Computers - We have over 50 internet accessible computers for children and patrons to use.

Free Wifi - Our CFPL network is availble for students to connect their smart devices, laptops, and other electronic items to the internet.

Free Homework Help - During the school year certified teachers are available M-Th 3:30 until 6:30 to help students with homework for free.

Monthly Contests - Our coloring contests and other related competitions are famous among our young patrons.

Game Days - Join our Friday Game Days to play some classic board games. Turn off the TV and tune out the interenet and play some classic games like chess, checkers, parcheesi, Chutes and Ladders, Candy Land, and other fun games.

Bingo - Children love this classic game of chance and we play it often here at the Carteret Library.

Extensive Six Week Summer Reading Program -During the summer months, we encourage students to keep reading. Students keep a journal of the books they have read over the summer. We have summer reading activities daily after July the 4th until mid August.
