Carteret Offers ‘Artistic Expression’ Art Sessions for Seniors

Carteret, NJ – Mayor Daniel J. Reiman and the Carteret Office on Aging are offering special art sessions throughout the Spring designed specifically for senior citizens to express themselves through painting in watercolor, pastels, acrylic painting, mixed media, open studio, sculpture, and painting/glazing. The sessions will run for two hours each month from March until September at the Thomas J. Deverin Community Center at 100 Cook Avenue in Carteret.

“Many active seniors live in our Carteret community,” said Mayor Reiman. “Our Office on Aging is always seeking to offer seniors free and low cost programs and activities designed specifically with their interests in mind. We are proud to offer art in all forms for our residents, and this is a great program that our seniors have enjoyed in the past.”
