Carteret welcomes holiday season with annual Holiday Festival and Tree Lighting

Festivities will take place Dec. 1 in Carteret Park
with Menorah Lighting Dec. 7 at Borough Hall

CARTERET, NJ – On Dec. 1, Mayor Daniel J. Reiman will join with the Borough Council in hosting the town’s annual Holiday Festival and Tree Lighting at Carteret Park.

Festivities will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. with the annual tree lighting at 7 p.m.

“Our Holiday Festival transforms Carteret Park into a winter wonderland, capturing the true spirit of the holidays for families and visitors with lavish festivities,” the Mayor said.

Festival Highlights will include live holiday music, photos with Santa, hot cocoa, cookies, hot pretzels, and horse & buggy rides.

Hanukkah will be celebrated from Dec. 7 to 15. In celebration, a menorah lighting will take place at 6 p.m. on Dec. 7 with Rabbi Azriel Brown of the Carteret Hebrew Center.
