CARTERET, NJ – On Dec. 14, Mayor Daniel J. Reiman will join with the Borough Council and Carteret Business Partnership in presenting “Celebrate the Holidays with URSB Carteret Performing Arts & Events Center.”
The free 6 p.m. event will feature a screening of the award-winning 2004 Christmas movie “Polar Express,” photo opportunities with Santa Claus, performances by the holiday chorales of Carteret High School and Carteret Junior High School, and a tree lighting with the Mayor.
“Our holiday celebration will transform the gorgeous URSB Carteret Performing Arts & Events Center into a winter wonderland, capturing the true spirit of the holidays for families and visitors,” the Mayor said. “It’s a great opportunity for the community to celebrate the holidays together while showcasing our state-of-the-art arts & events center.”
Earlier in the month, the Borough held a tree lighting in Carteret Park and a menorah lighting at Borough Hall.
The arts center is at 46 Washington Ave. and can be contacted at 877-849-2722.
Updates about the holiday celebration will be available at Carteret.net, carteretpac.com/ and by following @MyCarteret on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
