Carteret and Woodbridge Police Arrest 7, Seize Large Amounts of Heroin, Crack & Marijuana

On Thursday, the Borough of Carteret Police Department, along with Woodbridge Township, executed multiple court authorized search warrants in Carteret and Woodbridge related to certain drug activity, including the distribution of heroin. During the execution of the search warrants, 12 individuals were detained and this resulted in the following 7 arrests and the seizure of a large amount of heroin packaged for distribution, and additionally, crack cocaine and marijuana:

1. Quadir Oliver:
Possession Cocaine, Crack

Possession of Marijuana
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Possession w Intent to Distribute (Heroin)

2. Ebony Brathwaite: Distributing Narcotics w/in 1000’ School Property Distributing Narcotics w/in 500’ Public Park
Possession Heroin, Opium
Possession Cocaine, Crack
Loitering for Purpose of Illegally Using, Possessing or Selling CDS Distributing Narcotics w/in 500’ Public Park
Distributing Narcotics w/in 500’ Public Park
Distributing Narcotics w/in 1000’ School Property
Distributing Narcotics w/in 1000’ School Property
Possession of Marijuana
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Possession w Intent to Distribute (Heroin)

3. Rashon Seymore: Possession Heroin, Opium
Loitering for Purpose of Illegally Using, Possessing
Unlawful Possession of Weapons

4. Valensky Valeus: Possession of Marijuana

5. Semaj White: Possession of Marijuana

6. Jefferson Perez: Obstructing Administration of Law Possession of Marijuana
While a Ms. Yeffany Perez-Cordero was not herself arrested with regard to the drug activity that was directly the subject of one of the search warrants which was executed at 75 Union Street, where Ms. Perez-Cordero was located and her son, Jefferson Perez, was arrested for possession of marijuana, Ms. Perez-Cordero was arrested and charged with the following:

7. Yeffany Perez Cordero: Assault-Aggravated (on a police officer), Resisting Arrest
